Return Policy

Return Policy

This Return Policy explains when TopSellingDomain Marketplace issues refunds, what is not refundable, how disputes are handled, and how to request a review. It applies to domain sales, seller packages, and classified listing fees.

Domains and transfers

  • No refunds after transfer completes
    • Once a domain transfer to the buyer is complete and control is in the buyer’s account or registrar, the sale is final and non‑refundable. Domain ownership and registration are inherently non‑reversible from a marketplace refund perspective.
  • Before transfer completes
    • If a domain has not been transferred and a clear, provable error on the platform’s part occurred (for example, duplicate listing, listing misrepresentation caused by marketplace metadata, or a transaction processing error), TopSellingDomain may review the case and issue a refund at our discretion.
  • Fraud, misrepresentation, and escrow exceptions
    • If a buyer demonstrates material misrepresentation by the seller that cannot be corrected by transfer remedies (for example, seller lacks legal right to the name, or the seller refuses to provide required transfer authorization), we will investigate and, where evidence supports it, assist with remediation or a refund when the funds are still held by the marketplace or escrow provider.
  • Evidence required for review
    • To request a review include the domain name, order/transaction ID, screenshots, correspondence with the seller, and specific facts showing misrepresentation, fraud, or failed transfer steps.

Seller accounts and packages

  • Seller packages are non‑refundable
    • Free seller accounts and free classified packages are not eligible for refunds. Paid seller packages or paid upgrades may be non‑refundable unless otherwise stated in the package terms.
  • Monthly classifieds usage
    • Classified package fees billed monthly may be cancelled at any time; there is no refund for the current billing period after the fee posts. Cancellation prevents future renewals but does not prorate or refund the active month.

Payment disputes and chargebacks

  • How we handle chargebacks
    • If a buyer initiates a chargeback with their payment provider, TopSellingDomain will investigate and provide evidence to the payment processor. If the chargeback is resolved in the buyer’s favor and marketplace funds have already been released to a seller, the buyer may not receive a refund from TopSellingDomain; any recourse is handled through the payment provider and applicable policies.
  • Fees and reversals
    • Any administrative or processing fees charged by payment processors are non‑refundable when a refund is granted, unless otherwise required by law or the processor’s policy.

How to request a review or refund

  1. Log into your dashboard and go to Support → Create Ticket.
  2. Choose Category = Billing or Dispute and Priority = High if transfer or fraud is involved.
  3. Provide required information:

Marketplace responsibilities and buyer obligations

  • Our responsibilities
    • We operate the marketplace, help facilitate transfers, host evidence, and enforce marketplace policies. We will investigate disputes, preserve logs, and work toward equitable solutions.
  • Buyer obligations
    • Buyers must follow the listing instructions for domain transfer, provide required account details to the seller or registrar, and cooperate with any transfer verification steps. Failure to cooperate can affect eligibility for remedial action.

Final notes and legal considerations

  • No implied guarantees
    • Except where required by law, TopSellingDomain provides no guarantees of domain availability beyond the seller’s listing and the marketplace’s verification steps.
  • Governing law
    • Refund and dispute resolution follow the terms set in our Terms of Service and any applicable consumer protection laws.
  • Changes to this policy
    • We may update this policy; the current version and last updated date appear at the bottom of the Return Policy page.
